686 Men's 1994 Liberty Jacket
A limited edition reissue of 686's inaugural jacket, the Men's 1994 Liberty Jacket pays tribute to the brand's origins — back when it was known as "Jib Wear 686." Built to capture a defining moment in snowboarding and freeskiing history, this shell jacket combines heritage styling with modern technical performance. It's constructed from a 2-layer infiDRY® fabric — 686's exclusive technology that fuses signature fabrics with waterproof and breathable elemental protection — and is rated to 10,000mm waterproofing for reliable coverage across all winter conditions.
The jacket is crafted from 100% recycled polyester, with the fabric made of over 50% recycled cationic dyeable polyester derived from single-use plastics. A PFAS-free, C0 DWR (Durable Water Repellency) coating adds an outermost layer of waterproof protection, while critically taped Bemis® seams prevent moisture intrusion at every stitch line. The 4-way stretch recycled fabric dries quickly, breathes well, and supports full freedom of movement on the mountain.
Designed as a shell with a hanging lining, the 1994 Liberty Jacket features Air-Flo™ underarm vents for temperature regulation, an adjustable helmet-compatible hood, and an attached adjustable powder skirt to seal out the elements. Practical storage and connectivity features round out the build for a day-ready mountain jacket.
