The HY 11 Free combines an alpine-style downhill interface with a pin-based touring system, giving skiers the advantages of both binding designs.

In downhill mode, the boot sits flat against the ski, eliminating the elevated toe-to-heel relationship found in many traditional tech bindings. This creates a more familiar alpine skiing feel and supports precise power transfer, edge control, and stability.

Innovative Toe Piece – Precision & Boot Compatibility

The HY Free toe piece is designed to provide responsive downhill performance while accommodating a wide range of compatible alpine, freeride, and touring ski boots.

An adjustable Anti-Friction Device (AFD) uses interchangeable spacers to accommodate different boot sole constructions and thicknesses. This system helps establish the correct boot-to-binding interface while providing appropriate support and vibration damping.
